Mehr Energie am Morgen…so geht`s

More energy in the morning...that's how it works

If you're getting a good night's sleep, the time between 6am and 12pm is potentially the most productive time of the day. However, the reality of our customers when they come to the YPSI for the first time often looks different.

Therefore, in addition to improving sleep, we give our customers the following tips to increase their energy level in the morning:

Tip #1: Eat animal protein for breakfast

A good breakfast consisting of high-quality protein from animal sources, such as meat, fish or eggs. Unlike plant-based protein, animal-based protein offers a complete amino acid profile and is high in protein without being high in carbohydrates.

Combine the protein with healthy fats. This combination ensures long-term stable blood sugar, which is a prerequisite for body fat reduction.

Red meat, poultry, eggs and nuts in particular contain building blocks for the neurotransmitters - chemical messengers that transmit information between nerve cells - dopamine and acetylcholine, which provide drive, motivation, acceleration and creativity.

As with almost everything, the same applies here: Quality is crucial. Good options include:

Homemade meatballs made from beef and spices, with a handful of Brazil nuts

Omelet fried in butter from 4-8 eggs (for women from 1-4 eggs) with mushrooms and peppers

Boiled chicken from the lecture, heated in the oven with olive oil and chopped tomatoes

Tip #2: Supplement with Licorice

The main reason for low energy is low levels of cortisol and adrenaline in the morning.

Licorice (licorice root extract) is an adrenal adaptogen that doubles the half-life of the stress hormone cortisol. This helps restore optimal biorhythms and regenerates the adrenal glands.

Our recommended intake: 1-4 Licorice tablets immediately after getting up for a period of 10 days.

Tip #3: When you wake up, drink a glass of water mixed with ¼ teaspoon of Himalayan salt

Himalayan salt - or any other natural salt that has a color (white is not a color) - serves as a nutrient for the adrenal glands. Fitter adrenals mean more energy in the morning and greater resilience to stress.

Add a squeeze of lime juice to the salt water for better flavor. You can find out what other advantages lime juice has here: The acid-base balance – what is really important
